Meet Jenny Gores, RN, BSN, JD
Patient Safety and Quality Coordinator
Jenny serves as the Patient Safety and Quality Coordinator for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, supporting patient safety and quality initiatives, collaborating with WashU Medicine and BJC teams.
What do you find most interesting or rewarding about your role?
The most rewarding part of my role is having the opportunity to work with all of the incredibly smart, hard-working and devoted people at WashU Medicine Orthopedics. Every day I’m impressed by the dedication to providing the best possible care and clinical outcome for all of our patients. I feel very lucky to be a part of this department.
What degrees have you received and how does having a law degree help in your current role?
I think the main benefit of my time practicing law is that I learned the importance of objectively analyzing multiple angles and perspectives on a situation before deciding a course of action.
I have the following degrees:
- JD - Georgetown University Law Center
- RN/BSN – Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College
- BA Political Science – St. Louis University
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I spend most of my non-working hours training for triathlons – lots of swimming laps, biking and running. I also love hiking out West – Utah and Colorado are my favorite destinations. I also have two nieces that I adore, parents and a sister/brother-in-law living in the area – I always enjoy spending time with them.
